The Tourism Department of Arunachal Pradesh has been organising “Tawang Festival” in the state every year, during the first week of May, in order to expose the state’s unique culture and traditions to the outside world. This festival has also helped to improve the tourism potential of the district of Tawang. What was a small, less-travelled, serene location a few years ago, has now become one of the most preferred hill stations in North East India, thanks to this Tawang Festival.

The festival usually goes on for 3 days, where a mega fair is constructed in the state to showcase the brilliant culture of the monastic tribes. Religious chanting by select monks from Tawang monastery, folk dances, tribal dances and other diverse forms of the state’s culture are displayed in their finest glory during this festival.

If you want to witness this cultural extravaganza, book a Tawang Festival tour with us. Our expert team gives you the itinerary after listening to your requirements carefully and provides you with cab bookings as well. Our tour is designed in such a way that you get the best of Tawang at highly competitive prices. Witness Arunachali culture at its supreme form, with our Tawang festival tours, designed solely as per your convenience.

Inhabited almost fully by the Monpa tribal community people, Tawang is an exquisitely beautiful district in Arunachal Pradesh. It is located at a height of 3500feet above sea level. It is well-protected by the magnificent Gudpi and Chong-Chugmi mountain ranges. With the peaceful chants coming from the Buddhist monasteries all around, Tawang district with its placid lakes, mighty peaks, pollution-free mountain air and natural abundance, definitely looks heavenly.
